James Walldan
Winthrop Harbor, IL
Driver Information
I started racing bmx bicycles at the age of 8. I raced bmx until I graduated High School and headed to the Marines. I started racing bmx again in 2009. I won the Midwest Nationals that year. I raced Bmx until 2014. I ran one race in the bandit 4 cylinders in 2014. At that point I decided I wanted to race sprint cars. My dad, Lance Walldan, and my great uncle Bob Walldan raced with the IRA for many years with Donny Goeden at the wheel. Lance is an accomplished engine builder who really knows how to set a sprint car up. My uncle Bob is a former midget champ who has been in dirt track racing for over 50 years. He has forgotten more about driving a sprint car than most of us will ever learn. I am lucky to have these two teaching me the ropes. I have a great team backing me up and we are getting better every week.
