11th-place finish in Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury Speedway

Starting the $20,000-to-win A-Main in 13th via a fourth-place performance in his heat, Shane gained four spots in the 50-lapper to finish ninth.

Returning with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series on Friday afternoon, the Skyline Motorsports team traveled to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the 32nd running of the Prairie Dirt Classic. Drawing a stout field of 81 cars for a round of preliminary features leading up to Saturday’s finale, Clanton laid down the ninth-fastest time in his qualifying group. With $3,000 on the line, Shane carried a steady pace in the 25-lap prelim, taking the checkers in fifth.

Transferring into one of three consolation races on Saturday, Shane was forced to take a provisional into the $50,000-to-win A-Main after pulling off early in his B-Main. Starting in 23rd, Clanton marched forward 12 spots in the 100-lap affair to register an 11th-place finish.
