Silver Dollar Nationals weekend brings Clanton to I-80

Following a 10th-to-sixth run in his heat race, Clanton missed a transfer spot into the $12,000-to-win Dirt Track Bank Go 50 with a sixth-place outing in his B-Main.

For a pair of heat races on Friday to kick off the Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals weekend, Shane came in third in the first round before passing two cars in his second heat to finish seventh.

With Mother Nature postponing the main event to Sunday, Clanton secured his spot into the $53,000-to-win A-Main with a 12-lap consolation victory. Starting in 20th, Shane gained five positions in the 80-lap affair to register a 15th-place finish.
