Kringas Wins C.O.P.S. Race – Lafayette County Speedway, Darlington WI
Johnny Kringas #10 wins his Second C.O.P.S. Race of the 2016 season and also his third win of this year in just seven starts.
The victory came in front of a near standing room only crowd during the Lafayette County Fair, at the Speedway.
This is the second time Johnny #10, piloted the All Terrain Body and Detail of St. Charles IL sponsored car was into victory lane.
This race once again, tragically had a special meaning, as three police officers in Baton Rouge LA were killed in the line of duty, when they were ambushed by a lone crazed gunman the morning after this race.
The C.O.P.S. races are put on by Warren Ropp of Bull Town Legendsof IA to raise money and awareness for surviving family members of Police Officers Killed in the Line of Duty Click Here for C.O.P.S. website
Since 2012 Johnny has supported the C.O.P.S. program and has raced with the names of two fallen Police Officers on his race car James Sauter of the Illinois State Police and Timothy Simenson of the Crest Hill Police Dept.
Once Johnny again was honored and humbled to Honor these and all Fallen Police Officers and their families in Victory Lane.
Johnny started the race in 8th position of the 18 car field and quickly drove his way to the front, as he worked though field. The 95W car had a sizable lead as Johnny moved though the pack of cars, but once Johnny cleared the field separating them he quickly caught and passed him. Once Johnny was in the lead he did not give it up and finished the race with a large gap between him and the second place car. Lapping many cars in the process.
Once again Mickey Kudlicki as always prepped an AWESOME race car for Johnny.
