James Kimmel
Hastings, MI
Driver Information
Grew up in racing as 3rd generation driver/mechanic working with my Grandfather Jim Baker and Uncle Joey Baker at the family business. Our usual weekends consisted of years of Fridays at I-96 Speedway then Saturday at Crystal Motor Speedway racing Street stock and jumped up I.M.C.A division in the mid 90's back when the average car count was 40plus mods every week. Late 2000's we went U.M.P Late Model racing mostly at I-96 Speedway. All while getting my start in 2002 and go to race for about 10 full yrs before having the Next Generation welcome us in 2009 so in 2015 Logan James Kimmel got his Start on the pavement at Little Kalamazoo Speedway in Jr Quarter midgets division, to outdue his previous generations we would eventually start racing in a traveling series from Ohio and Indiana called Midwest Thunder and learn from the differences in locally racing was a big curve only to use in our favor to go onto 9 Track Championships and 2018 Sr Animal Track Record holder in his 1st yr in that division, but on the road we would fight hard to make the 10 car A-main's when 50 other cars also trying.next is big cars for him and Dad is on the box.
