Berry Jr. faces challenges at MTS

A trip to Fountain City, Wisconsin’s tough Mississippi Thunder Speedway was on the docket for Tom Berry Jr. on Friday evening. Unfortunately, his outing in the Karl Fenske Memorial didn’t go as planned.

With 30 USRA Modifieds at the 1/3-mile track, Berry drove from seventh to third in one of three heat races. He started fifth in the $2,999-to-win main event, however, he had to retire early from the 35-lapper after hurting his engine. He ultimately scored a 25th-place result.
