With the weather looking good for this weekend we are geared up and ready to start our stint of racing in Indiana. A huge thanks goes out to Chuck Jackson and Jackson Compaction for helping make this happen! Also, a big thank you to Jon Stanbrough for providing us a place to park the rig and work on the car as well as Brad Alexander, John Stroud, and Mark Rosborough who all will be helping us at the racetrack. Finally, thanks to Dan Appel for all the help at the track this year and in the shop helping us get out here to Indiana.
For the month of June we are planning on racing in and around the Indianapolis area without the wing and the 410 strapped in it. After that, we will evaluate how we are doing and figure out what the rest of our 2015 season will look like. Our first stop will be Bloomington Speedway tomorrow (Friday) night and on Saturday we will head to Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, IN. After this weekend we will have a short break and get back into it next Wednesday at Gas City I-69 Speedway followed by Lincoln Park Speedway again Thursday, and Bloomington again on Friday. Next Saturday presents us with a number of options and we’ll decide where we’re going at a later time.
This is a dream come true for me. I look up to many drivers who race in this area on a weekly basis and, as of late, I feel like our nonwing program has gotten to be pretty competitive. I believe this is a great opportunity to learn and grow as a driver as well as focus on one discipline of sprint car rather than jumping between winged and nonwinged, 360 and 410.
