Driver Information
Having the opportunity to drive one of these cars is at the top of almost every young
kids dream, and today, Randy is living this dream. Combine specifically built race cars that have a chassis built from chrome-moly, engines that produce 550 horse power, add as few parts as possible (to keep it as light as possible), and what you have is one of the most exciting forms of racing today. Moving from stock cars in 2009 to sprint cars in 2010 was to be a huge step. Randy met this challenge head on by winning Rookie of the Year honors for MSA and PDTR, and just missed the triple-crown for rookies, EWSC’s award by merely three points. While not racing, Randy is sole proprietor of Brunette Technologies, LLC, a leading consulting, authoring, and design firm that specializes in AutoCAD Electrical and related software. He has authored several training manuals and travels world-wide presenting training and consulting presentations.

Under the Helmet with Randy Brunette
Every kid dreams of what he’ll be when he grows up. Some want to be a fireman, policeman, or an astronaut. For one little boy, that dream was to be a race car driver. Maybe it was Indianapolis, maybe Daytona, but mostly to just drive. As a high school sophomore, one boy started living that dream, working on a world championship winning snowmobile team.
Now, thirty-seven years later, Randy and Debi, his wife of over 26 years, own the number 74v sprint car. Having the opportunity to drive one of these cars is at the top of almost every young kids dream, and today, Randy is living this dream. Combine specifically built race cars that have a chassis built from chrome-moly, engines that produce 550 horse power, add as few parts as possible (to keep it as light as possible), and what you have is one of the most exciting forms of racing today.
