Driver Information
My racing career started on 7/1/22 in the Jr late model class with the support of my brother, family and friends all around! My little brother Brodie Thompson started racing halfway through the 2020 season and I would be at the races loving every second of it, 2021 I started to get involved as the crew and learned how the car works and how to maintain it and by the end of the year I knew how to maintain the car by myself and could answer many questions asked, 2022 I'm now considered the crew chief of the car, and as I got more involved with the car the more I wanted to be in one, and as of 7/1/22 I've started driving the green machine of the Jr. Late model class learning quickly how to work with the car!
I started my 2023 season in the Crate Racing Modified Class, acquiring 3 top 5's, and 17 top 10's across 28 events, learning how to adjust and manage the car, I ended the season off strong, over the off season I went on a trip with the crew Novemeber 23' to Arkansaw and picked up some new equipment, new GRT's for my brother and I. I spent the off season building this car as it started as a bare chassis with a body. I started about half way through the 2024 season in my new GRT, running a total of 24 events with 6 top 5's and 17 top 10's having a late start to the season.
What an end to the 25' Season! What a fun year of racing and meeting new people and making my first big show, the season started off a little rough but usually ended in a top 10, lot of traveling this season a LOT of changes and struggle, and finally a HEAT RACE WIN, with lots of “I'm tryin sumthin this weekend" and enough scratches in the ol' notebook we finally found something to get me a bit more ahead, made my way back to the front everywhere we went, lots of things were tested at Magnolia Motor Speedway and I'll say this, I think I feel one coming along at the Ol' Mag, as I got faster week by week I only grew more excited for the big show at Charlotte. We ended the season with a bang and made our way over to The Dirt Track at Charlotte, this years track was the worst one I had ever seen yet we persevered, after a rough qualifying and not really running a lap, I started almost dead last in my heat and on lap to I went from 8th to 3rd securing my position for the big show, and even survived the big show with only a ripped off door. Overall a fun season and can't wait for 26'!
