Starks Set for Six Weeks of Racing in Australia This Winter

Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (Nov. 3, 2014) – Trey Starks is excited to announce that he is heading to Australia to compete for six weeks this winter.

Starks will return to the country for the second straight year and this time will drive his own sprint car during 12-to-15 races. He is scheduled to leave on Dec. 23 and return to the United States the first week in February.

“I’m extremely excited to go back to Australia,” he said. “I learned a lot earlier this year when I made my debut there. With that experience and the comfort of being in my own car, I think we will be set up to have a successful trip.”

Jarrod Woolstencroft is providing a trailer and hauler for the two sprints cars and engine that Starks recently shipped to the country.

“They’ve got a really nice shop and have provided us with living quarters and anything we’d need to get by,” he said. “I’m really thankful for that.”

Starks raced three times in Australia in January of this year. His notable performance was winning a heat race during the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic at Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway.

“It was pretty cool to see racing in a different atmosphere,” he said. “A lot of the top American drivers are there as well and the tracks are unique, so it’s a great experience all around.”
