Gray suffers fourth DNF
WHEEL, Tenn. (July 7) – Hoping for a good run back at his home track, Duck River Raceway Park, Jim Gray was unfortunately caught up in someone else’s mess and recorded his fourth DNF of the season.
After starting 16th in the 20-car 602 Crate Late Model field, Jim improved two positions before contact between Matt Odeneal and Charlie Ray Howell left Howell slowed exiting turn two. Jim made contact with Howell and was subsequently hit from behind by Tommy Stanfill, leaving both Jim and Stanfill done for the night after just two completed laps.
Jim’s Victory Fun Park/Definite Wellness-sponsored Warrior Race Car suffered a busted radiator and he was credited with a disappointing 16th-place finish.
