Pair of Top 5 Finishes at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex

On Friday evening Drake Troutman made the trip to Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wisc.) pulling double duty in the Super Late Model and Open Wheel Modified ranks. Coming in sixth in his heat race, Troutman locked into the 11th-starting position for the feature. Dropping two spots in the 25-lap affair, Drake recorded a 13th place outing.

In a field of 31 USRA Modifieds, Drake followed up a seventh place finish in his heat with a third place finish in his B-Main. Earning the 23rd-starting position for the A-Main, Troutman improved four spots in the 25-lapper to place 19th.

The following night at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex (Markleysburg, Pa.), Troutman improved three spots in his Late Model heat to register a third place finish. Passing three cars in the feature, Drake scored a fourth place finish behind Treavor Feathers, Tyler Carpenter, and Michael Lake with Clinton Hersh coming in fifth.

Starting the night off with a heat race victory in his Modified, Drake earned the third-starting position for the A-Main via the redraw. Holding his spot for the entire distance, Troutman notched a third place finish behind Mike Altobelli and Randy Hall with Greg Hauger and Josh Cramer rounding out the Top-5 finishers.
