Podium finish in Dirt Cup Challenge at County Line Raceway

Thursday night found Drake Troutman in action at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) to compete in the Modified portion of the 40th annual General Tire Dirt Track World Championship. In a stout field of 78 cars, Troutman was able to time in third fastest in his group before Mother Nature postponed the event to Friday morning. After getting taken out by another competitor in his heat, Troutman rebounded to finish second behind Chris Wilson. The team made the decision to pack up and head to County Line Raceway (Elm City, N.C.) for the Dirt Cup Challenge on Saturday evening. Laying down the eighth fastest time in field of 18 cars, Troutman locked into the eighth-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Gaining five spots in the 30-lap affair, Drake Troutman notched a third place finish behind Chris Arnold and Ryan Ayers with Ryan Toole and Jesse Rockett rounding out the Top-5.
