Perry, NY (January 21, 2020): This season, we will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of racing at the famed 1/3rd mile 'bullring' in Perry, NY, which has provided, and will continue to provide great motorsports entertainment to the Northeast and beyond. We are looking forward to another full season of weekly competition, with a few days off mixed in along the way. This time-off format, will be optimal for a balance of family time and travel throughout the spring and summer months.
Across the board, each division is expected to continue on with a steady growth pattern we have experienced over the past five years and longer.  This trend at The BullRing has been predominantly positive, baring a few hick-ups. We have realized, we are very happy with the current support of those reaching out this season already, and that we welcome those who wish to compete for the thrill and enjoyment of their friends, family and fellow competitors in this well-known ‘Perry Speedway’ atmosphere.
Opening day is set for the Saturday after Mother’s Day, May 16th. Gates will open early for pre-tech, and racing will begin at 6:30 pm (the schedule will be posted soon including this information and more). Pre-season practice will be offered Saturday, May 2nd, May 9th, and Wednesdays throughout the season beginning May 13th , and are free to the public in the grandstands. This is a great time to check out the new cars, along with returning competitors.
The focus for spring facility improvements is the front gate curb appeal and track lighting. During the off season our crew is dressing up the inside of the concession stand with paint and office expansion.
The division rules will stay consistent in general for all divisions, in exception of the Grandpa Dog 4 Cylinder Pro class. The new revised Pro rules are being developed with the input of teams within the division to create an exciting, better paid advanced 4 Cylinder division keeping in tune with some of the best throughout the country. Please contact us for an overview of related ideas if interested.
With all that said, get to the shop and start turning the wrenches! The season will be here shortly, and more information will follow soon.
