Sooner Late Models coming August 27
by John Rittenoure - TULSA, Okla. (August 9, 2021) - The Sooner Late Model Series is coming to Tulsa Speedway on August 27.
It will be the first time in many years that open motor late models have raced in the Tulsa area.
18-year old Hayden Ross of Muskogee is leading the series points race but is only slightly ahead of three-time defending champion and five-time winner Kip Hughes of enid after 16 races.
Past champion Jason Redman (201, pictured with this story), hot lapped his late model at Tulsa Speedway last Friday and is expected to be on hand. He is the only late model driver to have turned a lap on the Tulsa oval.
