Davis, Goodman pick up first Tulsa wins Friday

by John Rittenoure - TULSA, Okla. (August 6, 2021) - The USRA Modifieds returned and a pair of new winners emerged in Friday Night Lights competition at Tulsa Speedway on Friday.

Jason Davis chased Danny Padilla for much of the modified feature. But late in the race Davis passed Padilla for the lead and his first Tulsa victory. Austin McSperitt finished third.

Lane Goodman raced to his first Champ/305 sprint victory and became the fourth different sprint winner. Goodman led from the start, but had to turn back the advances of Ross Moore. Moore continually tried to pull inside of Goodman but the son of past Tulsa Speedway champion Mike Goodman held to his tight inside line for the victory.

Dalton Garrison raced to his fifth Factory Stock win. Garrison started seventh and had to run down early leader Chris Bales. Once around Bales Garrison returned to victory lane after settling for second place last weekend. Aaron Kuehn worked his way to third from sixth starting position.

Friday Night Lights returns next Friday at 7:45 p.m. with USRA B-Mods, Champ / 305 Sprints, Factory Stocks, Mini Stocks and Jr. Mini Stocks.
