Rockport Raceway
On Saturday June 17 I traveled to Rockport Raceway where I have gathered 5 wins over the last few years. I was excited to get back on a small bullring and the same track I ran my first kart race on 5 years ago. I started the night pretty decent in hot laps. After a few minor changes it was time to roll out for the heat race. The changes I made were better but still I was just a little bit off. I started P2 and ended up P3. This would however line me up on the inside of a track that is hard to pass on. I made some more changes to try and help the kart getting into the corners. I started P3 and ended up P2 in the feature. This weekend I get back to Ben Hur Speedway to see if I can find a little more speed and pick up that first win for the 2017 season.
