Off Road Speedway

Track News

May 25th will be a Regular Night of Racing. All 5 classes will be back in action. Looking forward to the next month or so, the OffRoad Speedway will have a lot going on.

On June 1st, the Malvern Bank Super Late Models West Series will be in Norfolk for their first appearance of two scheduled events. Norfolk Driver Tad Pospisil has the early points lead after taking the win in the SLMR West season opener in Warrensburg Missouri last Saturday.

June 8th we will be back to a Regular Race Night followed by a Saturday Night off on June 15th.

The OffRoad Speedway will still be busy that weekend with the Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pulling Association coming to Norfolk for the 2nd event on their 2024 schedule. This will be a Friday night pull on June 14th.

June 18th will see the United States Modified Touring Series making their inaugural visit to the OffRoad Speedway. The intro on the USMTS Facebook page states, “The USMTS is the most popular dirt modified series in the world.” And also “It’s the real deal with real speed with no raw deals.” Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks will also be running on that Tuesday Night.

June 22nd will be a regular race night before taking Saturday, June 29th off for Norfolk’s Big Bang Boom celebration.

We will back at it for the Independence Day Special (July 3rd) featuring the Ray Haase Tribute Race as part of the Titan Clash Late Model series. This promises to be a large field of IMCA Late Models with a significant purse to race for. All of our regular classes are on the docket with Fireworks to follow.

No racing on Saturday July 6th but we will follow up with a Friday Night Race on July 12th. This will be a Regular Night of Racing featuring Kids Rides. During intermission kids will get to ride in a race cars. A whole lot of Thanks to the Drivers, this is very much appreciated.

Fans may have noticed that the catch fence and flag stand were painted black. This is a little cause and effect. New LED Lights were put up last week. When they were tested last Thursday night, the fence and stand were so lit up it was hard to see through it. Painting them flat black solved the problem but now the Flagman is a littler harder to see. A temporary light was put up until we get the correct lights to light up the front stretch for the drivers.

To finish up the Track News, an announcement will be coming on the possibility of Live Streaming all races.
