Wheeler, Killingsworth, Payant, And A. Hedges Score July 23rd Wins At Southern Oregon Speedway
White City, Oregon- Southern Oregon Speedway returned to action on Saturday, July 23rd, for racing action. Four divisions were on the card: Sprint Cars, IMCA Northern SportMods, Super 4’s, and Mini Stocks.
Jake Wheeler, from Central Point, took care of business in the Sprint Cars piloting the Roger Henderson-fielded entry. It is his third win at Southern Oregon this year. Medford racers Charlie Thompson and Enrique Jamie were second and third.
In the IMCA Northern SportMods, Ethan Killingsworth was the dominating force. The Yreka, California native recorded his second SOS win of 2022. Branden Wilson of Medford beat Gazelle, California’s Jace Wright, for second. Jantzen Knips, from Medford, was fourth, with fifth going to Trevor Tiffee of Yreka, California.
Ross Payat conquered the Super 4’ field. It is his first win of the year with the division. Central Point’s Dustin Knight was the runner-up, followed by John Barger, of Medford, in third. Fourth finishing Anthony Bartell, from Shady Cove, rounded up the rest of the finishing order.
Lastly, Ashtin Hedges visited victory lane once again in the Mini Stocks. The White City youngster now has four wins to his credit this season in the class. Quintyn Ericks, from Klamath Falls, ended the night second, while Grants Pass driver Dylan Irving was third. Yreka, California racer Marlyn Yawmnick earned fourth, followed by Tim Hedges in fifth.
Southern Oregon Speedway returns to racing on Saturday, July 30th, for The Bigfoot race, with Dwarf Cars headlining the card.
