Dominic Scelzi Confident Entering Tribute to Gary Patterson Saturday at Stockton

Inside Line Promotions – FRESNO, Calif. (Nov. 6, 2017) – Dominic Scelzi is taking a suitcase full of confidence into his final event of the season.

Scelzi and his family owned, Roth Motorsports supported team will compete in both the King of the West-NARC Fujitsu Series and Sprint Car Challenge Tour classes this Saturday at Stockton Dirt Track in Stockton, Calif., for the Tribute to Gary Patterson.

“I have a lot of confidence and comfort at that track,” he said. “I feel like I’ll be pretty strong on Saturday night. It seems like every race lately we’ve been in contention to win. That’s huge for me. I don’t think I’ve ever been this strong in my career. We’re hitting our stride.”

Scelzi has earned five top fives and six top 10s in his last seven races, including a pair of runner-up results.

“The mindset is to get after it,” he said. “Second place is nothing right now. I’m going all out. The goal is to win both classes and I know we can do it.”

Scelzi has two career KWS-NARC feature victories at the track and his best 360ci winged sprint car finish there is a second-place result.

“I’ve been fast there,” he said. “It’s a place that has always been good to me.”

Scelzi has recorded at least one top-five finish at the track during each of the last four years.
