Runner-up Finish in Round Two of Wild West Shootout

Ricky Weiss was one of 46 Super Late Models on hand at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) on Saturday night for the 14th annual Wild West Shootout opener. Following the third fastest time in his qualifying group, Weiss posted a 3rd place finish in his heat which positioned him 18th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. The following night for another $5,000-to-win A-Main, Ricky came in fastest in his time trial group before placing 2nd in his heat race behind Brandon Sheppard. Starting the feature in sixth, Weiss gained four spots to reel in a runner-up finish behind Sheppard with Bobby Pierce, Chase Junghans, and Brian Birkhofer rounding out the Top-5.
