America’s Mattress Comes Aboard as Title Sponsor for NASCAR Super Late Models
As the 2019 race season at Coos Bay draws ever closer, Coos Bay Speedway and Promoter Drake Nelson are excited to announce that national mattress retailer America’s Mattress has joined the speedway as the primary sponsor of the Super Late Model Class, with the division rebranding as the America’s Mattress Super Late Models
Drivers can once again expect a hefty payday for winning the track championship in NASCAR’s Division 1 system. Taking home the track title will pocket the champion a nice $3,500, as well as $2,000 for winning the State championship. On top of the monetary prizes, the track champ will also win a brand new helmet and firesuit, courtesy of NASCAR.
But that’s not all, if a rookie driver were to win the championship, he or she would also take home an extra $1,000 for the track’s rookie of the year award, meaning if a rookie driver were to win the title, they could take home $6,500 as well as a new helmet and firesuit.
The rest of the Top 5 in points are also eligible for points fund prizes at the end of the year. 2nd place will claim a combined $3,000 for both track and state points, while 3rd takes home $1,700. 4th and 5th are only eligible for track point fund money, with 4th taking $1,000 and 5th pocketing $800.
Last season, we saw Bandon’s Brody Montgomery put on a dominant performance throughout the entire year en route to a track and state championship. Will we see a new face rise from the crowd to unseat our current champ, or will Montgomery return to his winning ways and repeat as America's Mattress Super Late Model Champion? The hunt for the championship begins April 13th, so don’t miss out on all the action!
