Blaney Returns to Winter Heat Sprint Car Showdown with Primary Team

Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (Dec. 28, 2015) – Dale Blaney is heading southwest this week to tackle the 2nd annual Winter Heat Sprint Car Showdown.

The reigning UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions champion and his Mainstream Holdings, Inc., backed CH Motorsports team will kick off the premier offseason sprint car event in the United States this Friday at Cocopah Speedway in Somerton, Ariz., where the $12,000-to-win, $1,000-to-start feature is the first of five races in nine days at the 3/8-mile oval.

“Every time we pull into the track I feel like our expectations are high that we’ll run well,” he said. “Hopefully we will. It’s always interesting getting back in the car after a couple of months off.”

Blaney opened the 2015 season at the inaugural Winter Heat Sprint Car Showdown where he drove for Paul Silva. The duo combined to record a runner-up result and two top 10s.

“Last year it was my first time being there and first time running for Paul,” he said. “Everything was so different. I think we were both disappointed with how we ran. We were only good one out of five nights. I’m looking forward to getting back in my normal car. I think that track will fit our style with the way it will get slick. There’s always a couple of lanes to race on. If we have a good car I think we’ll be ok.”

Blaney, who is fresh off his sixth All Star title as well as 16 victories and 38 top fives last season, will also compete at Cocopah Speedway on Saturday, Jan. 5 and Jan. 8-9.
