Ogilvie, MN (August 17) – The High Roller Sprint car series stopped by Ogilvie Raceway on Saturday night with both the Winged and Non-Winged cars in attendance. The WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, Modifieds, Mod Fours and Hornets were also on the order of events for some WISSOTA Dirt Track Race Action and Jason VandeKamp, Bobie Arnes, Tyler Larson and Jack Rivord grabbed wins.

The WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds took the clay with Ariel Mueller and Ben Lewis showing the way. Jason VandeKamp made his way to the lead before lap one was scored as Lewis and Ashton Schulte followed his path. Schulte made his way to second and kept close to VandeKamp as the yellow waved. After a couple cautions, VandeKamp brought the drivers back to green while Andy Jones and Cole Boston claimed second and third. Jones and Boston swapped for the second point, however they didn’t have anything for Jason VandeKamp as he took his #16 to victory lane. Cole Boston finished in second with Andy Jones, Ashton Schulte and Ashley Boyum rounding out the top five points.

A solid field of High Roller Non-Winged Sprints took the clay and sped away as the green waved. Jeff Pellersels claimed the early lead with Jack Berger in second. Berger then got loose in the curve which allowed Jake Kouba to speed by. Mark Chevalier made his way to second and then took over the top point, but Kouba and Pellersels kept close. The three racers swapped for the top point a few times until Kouba settled into the position. Kouba separated from the competition and prepared to lap slower drivers with under 10 laps to go. Jake Kouba had no issues the remaining laps and took the checkers with Mark Chevalier, Chris Lewis, Jack Berger and Jeff Pellersels as the top drivers.

Tyler Larson, Robert Holtquist and Dustin Holtquist battled nearly three-wide for the lead when the WISSOTA Mod Fours took the green. Larson edged out the lead point with Dustin Holtquist and Robert Holtquist in tow. Blake Hawker caught and passed Robert Holtquist for third and looked ahead at the driver in second. The remaining laps passed one after another, and Tyler Larson took the win in dominating fashion while Dustin Holtquist, Blake Hawker, Maeghan Milz and Ashton Schulte grabbed top positions.

The High Roller Winged Sprints were next on the agenda with Kevin Bradwell and John Vaillancourt on row one. Vaillancourt and Jamey Ogston pulled away and battled for the top point until Vaillancourt came to a slow and the yellow soon flew. Ogston brought the drivers back to green after the field was set and Owen Carlson moved into second. Carlson quickly made the pass for first as the top two separated from Chase Viebrock in third. With the race half over and lapped traffic coming in to play, the yellow waved again. Carlson, Ogston and Viebrock remained the top three drivers as the green flew. Owen Carlson weaved his way around and through slower drivers as the final laps were completed and took the win. Remaining top points went to Jamey Ogston, Chase Viebrock, Todd Hansen and Kevin Bradwell.

A small crew of WISSOTA Hornets were next up with only five drivers signing in to compete. Nearly all drivers battled for first when the green waved and Bobie Arnes edged out the point. Anthony Jenson and Jenna Hagemann remained glued to Arnes while Randy Jacoboski and Emily Acciari settled in fourth and fifth. The race was half over as Hagemann raced to Arnes’ door, but Arnes sped away and didn’t look back. The racers remained in that same order the race entirety and Bobie Arnes took the win.

The WISSOTA Modifieds closed out the night’s program and Jack Rivord claimed the immediate lead. Eric Lamm took second and looked ahead at Rivord who was already seconds ahead of the field. Rivord encountered slower drivers and put them down a lap as cars covered the entire track surface. Rivord’s car was dialed in as he lapped the driver in the tenth point and continued to keep his foot down. The race was completed in a matter of minutes, and Jack Rivord claimed the win. Eric Lamm, JT Johnson, Brenna Gave and Travis Schulte rounded out the top points.
