Shame on you if you missed the Choice For Change Action Event at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Saturday night. PPMS would see six heat races at five feature events. Anthony Uddstrom, from Pittsburgh, won the All Ways Safe Flagging And Traffic Control Young Guns Choice For Change eight-lap feature. Michael Norris (N1), from Sarver, came from behind to win the Rohrich Automotive/Chevy Performance RUSH Late Model 20-lap feature. At the same time, Garret O’Patchen (25), from Scott Township, picked up another win in the Fuel Required Hobby Stock feature. Stephen Shelpman (17S), from Pleasant Hills, picked up his first career PittsburghTrucking Center Penn Ohio Pro Stock feature win and he was the 100th winner in the division. And, Nick Timberlake (13T), from Caldwell, Ohio, won the Crawford Auto Repair Open Four Cylinder feature and it was his first career win as well.

Hunter Vohn (124), from Industry, started on the pole in the eight-lap All Ways Safe Flagging And Traffic Control Young Guns feature. Starting to his outside and in second was Gavin Kokolis (91), from Oakdale. When the green flag dropped, Vohn (124) would take the early lead. Lap one had Vohn (124) leading with Kokolis (91) in second, Uddstrom (18) in third, and Sadie Snatchko (56) in fourth. On lap three, Uddstrom (18) would pass Kokolis (91) for second and set his eyes on the leader. On lap five, Uddstrom (18) would make his move and pass Vohn (124) for the lead. Uddstrom (18) would lead the remaining laps in the event which went green to checkered in record fashion. Vohn (124) would settle for second, Kokolis (91) came in third, Snatchko (56) came in fourth, and Cheyenne Hollister (29M) would round out the top five. The heat race winner was Uddstrom (18).

Tom Klein (77), from Rochester, would start on the pole in the 20-lap Rohrich Automotive/Chevy Performance RUSH Late model feature. Tommy Schirnhoffer (8S), from Dormont, would begin on the outside pole. The second row consisted of Brandon Burgoon (60), from McDonald, starting in third, and Mike Reft (9R), from Pittsburgh, starting fourth. When the green flag waved at the event's start, Klein (77) would take the early lead. Lap two had Klein (77) still leading, but Norris (N1) came from his sixth-place starting spot to take over second, and Schirnhofer (8S) was in third. Laps four through nine saw Norris (N1) continuing to close the gap on Klein (77) who was still leading the event. At the halfway point on lap 10, Norris (N1) would take over the lead as they came through turns three and four. Once Norris (N1) got the lead, he would lead the entire second half of the event and go on to pick up his first Rohrich Automotive/Chevy Performance RUSH Late Model win of the season. He was followed by Burgoon (60) in second, Schirnhofer (8S) in third, Reft (9R) in fourth, and Kassidy Kamicker (72B) rounded out the top five. The heat race winners were Norris (N1) and Klein (77).

In the Pittsburgh Truck Center Penn Ohio Pro Stock 15-lap feature, Dale Tuche (310), from Cheswick, started on the pole while Larry Kugel (0), from Youngstown, Ohio, lined up next to him in second. When the green flag waved, Tuche (310) would take the early lead. Lap two saw Shelpman (17S) take over the lead as they came through turns three and four. By lap four, Shelpman (17S) had already built a half of a straightaway lead over the field and he would enter lapped traffic. A caution would slow the pace and rerack the field on lap eight for a car that was off the pace. Shelpman (17S) would lead the restart and retain his lead over the field. Shelpman (17S) would lead the remaining laps in the event and go on to pick up his first PittsburghTrucking Center Penn Ohio Pro Stock feature win which was also the 100th winner in the division. He was followed by AJ Poljak (36) in second, Ricky Steigerwald (00) in third, Tuche (310) in fourth, and Kugel (0) would complete the top five. The heat race winner was Nick Kocuba (10).

Jonathan Koteles (2K), from Stockdale, would start on the pole in the Fuel Required Hobby Stock 15-lap feature while Leroy Brown (40B) from Aliquippa, would start to his outside in second. When the green flag dropped, Brown (40B) would take the early lead. However, it was short-lived as Joey Brown (48) would take over the lead by two. Lap four had Joey Brown (48) still leading, Logan Koteles (64K) in second, Leroy Brown (40B) in third, and O’Patchen (25) in fourth. A caution would slow the pace on lap 12 and Joey Brown (48) would lead the restart and retain his lead over the field. O’Patchen (25) would lead the remaining two laps in the event and go on the pick up another Fuel Required Hobby Stock win. He was followed by Leroy Brown (40B) in second, Joey Brown (48) in third, L.
