Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway
Regular Season Opener Canceled for Saturday April 6th
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Pittsburgh, PA – April 3rd, 2024 – Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (PPMS) regrets to announce the cancelation of the Regular Season Opener scheduled for Saturday, April 6th, 2024. This decision comes as a result of heavy rainfall experienced on Tuesday and Wednesday, coupled with the forecasted precipitation expected to continue through Thursday and Friday, along with the anticipated cold temperatures. Saturday’s show will not be rescheduled. The next visit for the RUSH Sprint Car Series comes on Saturday, May 25th.
The 2024 Regular Season Opener now pushes back to Saturday, April 13th. This show will be headlined by the Elite Motorsports UEMS Racing Series, featuring E-Mod’s for the first time at ‘Dirt’s Monster Half Mile’ in nearly five seasons. Standout drivers such as Drake Troutman, Ty Rhoades, Bud Watson, among other UEMS full-time competitors, have already confirmed their entry for the $3,000 to win showdown. More drivers are expected to announce their attendance in the coming days.
Joining the UEMS Racing Series will be our five Action Event divisions, featuring the Rohrich Parts Center / Chevrolet Performance RUSH Late Models, the Pittsburgh Truck Center Penn Ohio Pro Stocks, the Fuel Required Hobby Stocks, the Crawford Auto Repair Open Four Cylinders, and the All Ways Safe Flagging and Traffic Control Young Guns. This event will also be the first official night of championship points for each of these respective divisions.
