Calling all drivers: Help us promote local racing at the monster truck show!
To the racers and race teams of Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway:
As part of our two-day Traxxas Monster Truck Tour show, we would like to take the opportunity to promote Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway to an audience that may not otherwise attend or even be aware of short track dirt racing in their own backyard.
Two that end, we are inviting a number of racers to be in attendance with their cars on the two days of the Monster Truck show. Our announcer, Jim Zufall, will be talking about the racing that happens on Saturday nights throughout the summer months at PPMS, and he'd like to work with you to help bring some awareness of PPMS to the Monster Truck crowd. We're asking drivers to be in their fire suits, be willing to sign autographs, and allow kids to sit in your cars.
Where the cars will be located has yet to be determined, but many of those in attendance will be in the pits for a pre-race pit party each of the two nights.
For up to 10 cars in attendance on September 8 & 9, we will offer two free passes (complete with pit passes) to the Traxxas Monster Truck Tour for each night of participation, as well as one free Pit Admission for any regular race event September 16, 23, or 30.
We are aware that many of you actively support your sponsors with your cars appearing at their businesses and events. This is a similar chance to promote not just your race team and your sponsors, but PPMS and local short track racing as a whole to an entirely different audience.
