Riley Watson Wins the South Sound Modified Main Event

South Sound Speedway on Saturday August 17, 2024, was full of excitement with five classes on hand. South Sound Modifieds, 10 cars for 40-laps, Black Lake Towing Legends, 11 cars for 30-laps, Quality Quick Lube-n-Tube Bandoleros, 6 cars for 15-laps, Goebel Septic Tank Services NW Focus Midgets, 12 cars for 25-laps, and Olympia Overhead Doors Tuners, 22 cars for 100-laps (postponed because of weather, will be made up next tuner race).
South Sound Modifieds Main Event started with Gage Sharp on the pole, and Grant Charneski on the outside. Sharp takes the lead on lap 1. Riley Watson takes the lead on lap 11 and goes on to win the South Sound Modifieds 40-lap Main event, followed by Dan Walker, Kalob Watson, Robert Clark, and Jesse Sharp to round out the top five.
Riley Watson had a fast time of 14.901.
Gage Sharp wins heat race #1, and Robert Clark wins heat race #2.
Legend Main Event started with Rick McNeill on the pole, and Josh Wharton on the outside. McNeill takes the lead on lap 1. Jake Haider takes the lead on lap 4 and goes on to win the Legend 30-lap Main event, followed by Wharton, Andrew Riehl, Allie-Mae Jones, and Kyle Kinzebach to round out the top five.
Dylan Wolf had a fast time of 15.564.
William Evans wins heat race #1, and Rick McNeill wins heat race #2.
Bandolero Main Event started with Hemi Franks in the front. Franks takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 1, turn 2, Rylan Presley spins, bringing out caution number 1. On the re-start on lap 1, turn 3, Presley spins again, bringing out caution number 2. Jace Ellis takes the lead on lap 8. On lap 9, turn 4, TJ Schlund spins, bringing out caution number 3. On lap 12, turn 4, Presley spins, bringing out caution number 4. Ellis goes on to win the Bandolero 15-lap Main event, followed by Franks, Ryder Jones, Kelzyn Watson, and Schlund to round out the top five.
Hemi Franks had a fast time of 15.564.
Hemi Franks wins the heat race.
NW Focus Midget Event started with Keegan Creager on the pole, and Jim Guenther on the outside. Creager takes the lead on lap 1 and goes on to win the NW Focus Midget 25-lap Main event, followed by Tyler West, Devan West, Guenther, and Dalton Christmas to round out the top five.
Devan West had a fast time of 14.203.
Devan West wins heat race #1, and Jason Thomas wins heat race #2.
The Tuner Main Event was postponed for weather, will be made up the next tuner race.
Josh Leyva had a fast time of 17.261.
Troy Hamilton wins heat race #1, Zach Wisely wins heat race #2, and AJ Yocom wins heat race #3.
