Ashton Winger debuts in Team 22 Inc No. 89 at WVMS

After Mother Nature nixed the second attempt of the Mountain Moonshine Classic on Friday at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.), Ashton Winger made his debut behind the wheel of the Team 22 Inc No. 89 Late Model on Saturday at West Virginia Motor Speedway (Mineral Wells, W.Va.) for the two-day Racefest World Championship. Drawing 24 Valvoline Iron-Man Northern Series entries, Winger secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature with a second-place finish in his heat. On Sunday, Ashton suffered terminal engine issues during his hot lap session that brought an early end to his weekend.
