RYAN PAYNE & KYLE BOND BREAKTHROUGH WITH BIG WINS ON 'PACK THE TRACK' NIGHT AT TYLER COUNTY SPEEDWAY

A picture perfect night at Tyler County Speedway would welcome a massive crowd as the ‘Bullring’ would present its annual ‘Pack the Track’ and Autograph Night. Over 130 racers would hit the highbanks and offer up a great night of racing with several race-long side by side battles being the highlight of the night. Picking up trips to the EQT Victory Lane were Ryan Payne, Kyle Bond, Brandon Weigle, Lance Weppler, Tom Sigler, Jacob McDaniel, Jason Ammons, Cruz Thomas and Leah Brightwell.

In the Stutler Motorsports Super Late Model division, a nice 15 car field would take flagman Matt Amick’s green flag with Pete Crum, Steve Weigle and Tyler Riggs mixing it up early for the lead. Crum would exit the speedway with mechanical gremlins turning the lead over to Weigle. Weigle, Riggs, Trey Watson and 5th starting Ryan Payne would entertain fans throughout the duration of the race as you could throw a blanket over the front of the pack. Riggs would eventually wrestle the lead away from Weigle as all eyes were now on a 3 car battle as a charging Payne, who was utilizing the ‘Bullring’s topside to perfection entered the fray. After a tremendous battle for several laps, Payne would roll around Riggs to take the lead and jet out to the largest lead of the race. The likeable Salem, WV racer would take his first ever Super Late Model feature win aboard the Payne’s Trucking Service/ Pratt Mascio Self Storage/ Barnes Trucking/ Perkins Supply/ Doll Brothers Fabrication Rocket 12r machine.

Another stacked Jenkins Auto Parts UMP Modified feature event would see a jubilant Kyle Bond garner his first ever Tyler County Speedway feature win. The Coolville, Ohio racer would earn his first trip to the EQT Victory Lane at the ‘Bullring’ by holding off a pesky Shawn Jett for the races 20 lap duration. Bond aboard the Brucebilt/ Shafer Equipment/ Poske Performance Parts/ Octane infamous blue #10 would win a war as Bond and Jett would pretty much go the distance with Bond running the middle with Jett peaking under him on every corner. Bond would never faulter in crossing the line to etch his name in the Tyler County Speedway record books ahead of a valiant effort from Jett, with Jamie McCloud with a fine 3rd place run followed by Danny Thomas and Kenny Johnson rounding out the top five.

Middlebourne, WV’s Brandon Weigle would reel off his 3rd win of the season in the J&R Excavating RUSH Late Model division in convincing fashion. Once out front, the driver of the Titan Energy Solutions/ Landon Hall Construction/ D&S Automotive Services/ DAC Energy/ Octane Race Products #11 would make it look easy enroute to the victory. Following Weigle across the stripe was Brent Trimble, Donnie Dotson, Kyle Thomas and George Casto.

Another Tyler County classic would take shape in the J&L Collision Center Hotmod division as wiley veterans Brian Probst and Tom Sigler would vault from the front row with neither giving an inch. The duo would run 15 laps with Sigler on the high side with Probst on the bottom in a back and forth clean battle for the top spot. Lap after lap it would be Sigler crossing the line first with Probst nipping at the driver of the 19 machine. Sigler would never waiver and manage to hold off the multi-time feature winner to notch his first win of the season. Following Sigler across the line was Probst, Carson Thomas with a career best 3rd, CJ Dotson and Eddie Probst.

Marietta, Ohio’s Lance Weppler would pick up the Middlebourne Galaxy Food Center Sportmod main event. Another strong field of 25 Sportmods would take the challenge and it would be Nick Corbitt racing out to the early lead. Perenial winner Weppler would utilize a high side pass to grab the lead and once out front the driver of the sharp looking Kryptonite #7 would head to the pay window and the EQT Victory Lane in convincing fashion. Following Weppler was Corbitt, Sonny Conley, Wesley Reed and Dwight Henry.

Defending track champion Jacob McDaniel would park the McWilson Performance #22 back in the EQT Victory Lane in the Dual Threat Sports Cards SCDRA 4 Cylinder division. McDaniel would blitz out of the gate from his front row starting spot and go unchallenged on his way to the victory. Following the Belpre, Ohio racer was Travis Corbin, Patrick Willbarger, newcomer Dakota Graciani and Joe Price.

The Tri-State Street Stock Series would roll into the ‘Bullring’ with Morgantown, WV’s Jason Ammons picking up the checkered flag. Following Ammons to the pay window was Brady Reed, Rodney Cole, Jonathan Whitt and Colten Collins. Thanks to Tweed’s Trucking for sponsoring the event.

In the Youth League of Auto Racing, the Hino Motors Manufacturing USA Junior Mini Wedge division it was Cruz Thomas picking up the win followed by younger brother Coen Thomas and Colten Long. In the Senior division it was Leah Brightwell grabbing the checkers ahead of Erickson Smith and Jake Casto.
