January 12, 2022 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Middlebourne, WV)...The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Racing Series presented by Born2Run Lubricants is proud to announce the addition of Tyler County Speedway as a RUSH Late Model weekly-sanctioned track in 2022. While the RUSH Sprint Cars and RUSH Sportsman Modifieds have made several appearances over the past four years at the "Bullring", the RUSH Late Models have never competed in the Mountaineer State in general. That will change on Saturday, April 2 when the RUSH Late Models will make their debut at Tyler County. The Flynn's Tire Touring Series will make a pair of appearances on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, September 4.

"Tyler County has run Crate Late Models weekly since 2005 and has always been the showplace for the division in West Virginia so to have them align with RUSH is huge," stated RUSH Director Vicki Emig. "For years, racers have asked about RUSH Late Models at Tyler County and we can't express how happy we are to have been able to work with their track management to make this a reality. We were able to take the RUSH Sprint Cars and RUSH Sportsman Modifieds there in recent years."

RUSH Weekly member racers will be able to participate at Tyler County on a weekly basis and be eligible for all of the programs including the National Weekly Series Championship, "Track Pack" program, and the “Futures Cup” for those eligible racers.

The RUSH National Weekly Series Championship will pay the top 40 in member points with $5,000 going to the champion. Drivers can compete at any RUSH-sanctioned event from March through October 2 to earn points (best two point scores per weekend). Drivers' best 12 point scores are utilized.

The "Track Pack" will award $2,500 to the top six in Tyler County RUSH member points from RUSH; meanwhile, Tyler County management has gone above and beyond to match the $2,500 figure doubling the pot to $5,000! The RUSH Member Champion at Tyler County will earn $2,000 with $1,000 for second, $800 for third, $600 for fourth, $400 for fifth, and $200 for sixth! All events in 2022 at Tyler County will count; however, each member driver's worst point score will be excluded, which could include a missed event (example: If Tyler County completes 15 events, points will be based on best 14 point scores).

The "Futures Cup" is based on the RUSH National Weekly Series points and pays $500 to the champion with the remaining positions dependent on number of eligible drivers. Drivers must be under 20 years of age to be eligible and not be a prior “Futures Cup” Champion. Those 18 & 19 cannot have more than one prior season of Crate Late Model experience (8 or more events = 1 season). No headlining division experience permitted.

Membership is not mandatory to compete in any RUSH-sanctioned event; however, in addition to being eligible for point funds, membership also includes a $100,000 excess participant accident policy, which is over and above drivers’ health insurance and speedways’ participant accident policy.

The $15,000 to-win Flynn's Tire Touring Series Championship has now expanded to 24 shows with the addition of Tyler County's two events. The July 23 event will follow Lernerville Speedway's "RUSH Summer Showcase" event making for a pair of $3,000 to-win events that weekend. The RUSH Tour event on September 4 will pay $4,000 to-win as part of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series' 54th annual "Hillbilly 100"! This will make for three Flynn's Tire RUSH Tour shows with LOLMDS in 2022; the "Firecracker 100" at Lernerville, the "Hillbilly 100" at Tyler County, and the "Pittsburgher" at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway!

Racers at Tyler County will have a burn-off of four completed events on the track's 2021 allowed rear tires and six completed events burn-off on the front tires before being required to utilize the RUSH-stamped Hoosier 25 or 55. Racers will also have a burn-off of four completed events on the track's 2021 allowed fuels. In addition, to allow for a smooth transition into the future, teams will be able to utilize the track's previously permitted 2021 engine seals at Tyler County ONLY. Note: Tyler County racers competing at any other RUSH-sanctioned event must be 100% RUSH compliant to compete.
