Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series
A Tennessee Double-Header Set For June 21st & 22nd
(Eastaboga, AL - 6/13/24) - Tennessee will host a double-header weekend for the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series on June 21st and 22nd. America's Leader in Racing will try once again to put a wrap on the 6th Annual Melvin Corum Memorial on Friday night, June 21st, with the conclusion of the racing program that got underway this past Saturday night. Racing will resume with a complete restart of Chevrolet Performance heat race three due to the track conditions when the green flag was given. The event already has twelve drivers that are locked into the $10,000 to-win feature. These drivers include Skylar Marlar, Ricky Weiss, Clyde Overholt, Travis Fultz, Jacob Owens, Mack McCarter, Jason Welshan, Bubba Roling, Bradley Lewelling, Philip Thompson, Matt Henderson, and Ryan Smith.
Drivers that choose to participate in the event on Friday, who did not make an appearance on Saturday night, June 1st, will be asked to tag the tail of the field at the end of the Rogers-Dabbs Chevrolet B-Main following the final heat race. That will set the field for the 50-lap feature event paying $10,000 to win and also race number two of the CRUSA $100,000+ Challenge series.
Then, on Saturday night, June 22nd, the series will travel to "Tennessee's Action Track," the 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN, for the 13th running of the J.T. Kerr Memorial. This will be the third straight year the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series has sanctioned the $10,000 to-win event, and the last two events have been huge, with former series Champion Jason Welshan winning in 2022 and former 2-time series champion Cory Hedgecock most recently winning in 2023. Hedgecock's win was his 5th J.T. Kerr Memorial of his career; in fact, he won four in a row from 2016 to 2019 at the 411 Motor Speedway.
Saturday, June 22nd, will be the 13th time the series has competed at the McCarter-owned facility. The first appearance came back on July 3rd of 2007, and Crossville, TN, driver Randy Weaver captured the checkered flag on that day, one of Randy's four career victories. The list of winners at 411 Motor Speedway includes Chris Wilson, Ronnie Johnson, Jimmy Elliott, Adam Beeler, John Owenby, Cory Hedgecock, and Jason Welshan. This event will also be a CRUSA $100,000+ Challenge event and will count towards the mini-series points championship. We hope you join us both nights as the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series takes on the state of Tennessee in a double-header on June 21st at Tazewell Speedway and June 22nd at the 411 Motor Speedway.
