The Dirty White Boy Sweeps UCRA Action at The Taz
Tazewell, TN (6/9/18) The United Championship Racing Alliance hosted Round #4 of the 2018 season Saturday night at the Tazewell (TN) Speedway, north of Knoxville and fans of the “Dirty White Boy” Anthony White were not disappointed, as the Clinton,TN racer swept the night at the lightning quick “Bad-Fast” Bull-Ring. White discussed his team’s efforts as of late with track announcer Brady Cupp from Pizza Inn Victory Lane and about chasing the $5,000 UCRA points championship. With this victory White now ties Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, TN with five (5) career UCRA victories, with the next most being a plethora of racers with three wins. White took the checkers in the Crate Late Model Salute to Memorial Day, 50 lapper 1.737 seconds ahead of fellow front-row starter and current UCRA points leader Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland, TN. White was a two-time UCRA winner last season, including a rain shortened victory at Tazewell in May. ... Eleven of 22 starters complete 50 laps.
Fan favorite Jason Trammell's second quick time was negated when he was light at the scales along with local Ryan Winchester. John Llewellyn of Knoxville scratched from the main event after setting second overall fast time to White. Jesse Lowe of Crossville, Tenn., started sixth and finished third battling Michael Courtney and Elliott race long. White’s Longhorn chassis is sponsored by “Stone Plus, Burchfield Drywall, Creative Fabrications, Competition Racing Equipment, Clinton Muffler, Outlaw Racing Parts, Erwin Construction, Copper Cove Cabin Rentals” and is powered by Phantom Racing Engines. The leader of the “Mohawk Nation” Jimmy Elliott still leads the UCRA points after four rounds with no finishes outside the Top 10 so far this season. Elliott's finishes include a pair of runner-up nods and a single third place podium stand so far in 2018. Performance Racing Engines ($100) Fast Qualifier for the second consecutive time was Anthony White with a Lap Time of 12.240 seconds. Heat Race Winners were White, Elliott, leading $1,000 Rookie of the Year contender Michael Courtney of Knoxville. UCRA’s next race is this coming Saturday June 16th at the Wartburg (TN) Speedway.
