BAPS to Host Super Late Model Appalachian Mountain Speedweek, June 2024
YORK HAVEN, Pa.: Bringing in big events to add to the season schedule has become a staple of the management team at BAPS Motor Speedway.
Whether it’s Pennsylvania Speedweek, the World of Outlaws, or high-profile events for the Saturday night divisions, Scott Gobrecht and Kolten Gouse are always looking to expand the speedway’s footprint. The 2024 season is no different.
The York Haven, Pa., facility will host Appalachian Mountain Speedweek presented by Selinsgrove Ford for the Super Late Models on June 16 for the Creekside Auto Sales 21st annual York County Nationals. Extreme Stocks and a Women on Wheels 4-Cylinder race will also be on the program.
“We are happy to have the Super Late Models back at BAPS Motor Speedway,” Gouse said. “Appalachian Speedweek has become a fixture in central Pennsylvania, and it’s important that BAPS Motor Speedway was able to get on the schedule.
“We are always working on being more diverse by bringing different divisions and events to the speedway. The Super Late Models are popular with fans in the region, and we look forward to hosting this event.”
The Super Late Model main event will pay $5,000 to the winner. It will be $500 to start. Pits open at 4 p.m. with grandstand gates opening at 5 p.m. Racing is at 7 p.m. Admission for adults is $25, with seniors getting in for $20. Students are $10.
