Super Late Model Program Added to York County Nationals at BAPS Motor Speedway
YORK HAVEN, Pa.: This year’s 19th annual York County Nationals at BAPS Motor Speedway just got a little bit bigger.
Originally, the Short Track Super Series for Modifieds was scheduled for Sunday, July 19. Now, the speedway has decided to make this a two-day event, with the Super Late Models highlighting Day 1.
The York County Nationals will kick off on Saturday, July 18. A $3,000-to-win Super Late Models event will be billed as the Dottie’s Family Market Clash. The Gene Latta Ford Central PA Legends presented by Baker Door Company and Limited Stocks will also be on the program. Sunday’s show will remain the same with the Short Track Super Series and Legends on the program.
“We are excited to make the York County Nationals a two-day event,” said BAPS Motor Speedway General Manager Kolten Gouse. “The Super Late Models are one of the premier divisions in the country, and they always put on a good show at BAPS.
“This gives us a chance to continue to build the York County Nationals and turn it into a big event on our schedule.”
The winner of the Super Late Model race will also be a guaranteed starter in July 25 Smokey Frye Classic. Creekside Auto Sales has also kicked in $250 for the Fast Time Award winner.
