Bryan Bernheisel credited with 12th place finish at Trail-Way Speedway
Friday night found Bryan and Jim Bernheisel in action at Trail-Way Speedway (Hanover, Pa.) for the inaugural Junior Eckert Memorial. Drawing 31 Zimmer’s United Late Model Series entries, Bernheisel followed up the third fastest time overall in qualifying with a second place finish in his heat. Starting the $6,000-to-win A-Main in 11th, Bryan clawed forward to finish eighth, but issues with his transponder marked him 12th on the final rundown. (Jason Walls photo | WRTSpeedwerx.com)
Jim was a scratch from the program after hot laps with engine issues.
On Saturday evening at BAPS Motor Speedway (York Haven, Pa.) for the Creekside Auto Sales Smokey Frye Classic, Bryan edged his way into the main event with a sixth place finish in his heat. With $4,000 the line, Bernheisel blew out a left-rear tire on lap 18 that brought an immediate end to his night.
