Smith Adding Teammate during Busy Weekend in Central Pennsylvania

Inside Line Promotions – MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (April 6, 2016) – Ryan Smith has a busy weekend on tap.

Smith is scheduled to compete this Friday at Williams Grove Speedway before wrapping up the weekend on Sunday at Susquehanna Speedway in York Haven, Pa., where Ryan Linder will join the Warko Group team for 358 sprint car action.

“I’m looking forward to it,” Smith said. “It’ll be pretty cool to have him out here. He’s a good guy and he builds a great race car. I want him to have some fun and I want to give back so to speak for Winter Heat.”

Smith and Linder teamed up earlier this year in Arizona, where Linder resides, to compete in the Winter Heat Sprint Car Showdown. The duo made four out of the five features with a top result of eighth place.

Both drivers will compete this weekend at a track that has recently undergone a massive renovation.

“Those guys put a lot of time into the facility at Susquehanna,” Smith said. “I went there two weeks ago to practice. The surface was smooth and racy. I’m really excited to race there and I think we can be in contention for a win.”

Smith is coming off a frustrating finish at Williams Grove Speedway last Friday.

“I was pretty good in the heat as we drove from sixth to third place,” he said. “We changed a couple of things for the feature. I had to start eighth because of the handicap and we just weren’t very good in dirty air.”

Smith battled for a top 10 throughout the main event before holding on to a 12th-place result.

“We’re going to take another car there this week and try something different,” he said. “We’re going to take the car we ran at Lincoln (a couple of weeks ago) and take that same car to Susquehanna. Hopefully we can put together two solid performances.”
