Bud Light Iron Man 100 Next For SSP; $3.00 Beer Special

Banks, Oregon- The biggest Pure Stock race of 2018 is up next for Sunset Speedway Park, the Bud Light Iron Man 100, on Saturday, June 2nd. Drivers in that class will compete for one-hundred circuits around the “Banks Bullring” with an action-packed main event is sure to break out. Other classes racing includes Dwarf Cars, 4-Bees, and New Bees. There will also be a $3.00 special on alcohol products for those that are twenty-one or older.
In the two Pure Stock races the same driver has managed to win them, Tanner Krohling. Past winners of the Bud Light Iron Man 100 include the inaugural winner in 2015, John Henry, 2016 victor Joey Tardio, and defending champ Larry Brookshire.
In four Dwarf Car races there have been four different winners. Shane Youngren and Jake Tupper split the wins during last weekend’s Spring Challenge while Jeremiah Hester and Josh Rodgers have one win to their credit as well.
Ryan Conroy extended his 4-Bee win streak to five. Conroy swept the Spring Challenge and looks to add his sixth victory this weekend. Austin Henderson is the only other driver to have achieved a win and that is just one. In the New Bees they are looking for their first repeat winner of 2018. Ryan Potter, Logan “Cutlass” Jones, and Barry Cannon are the three different victors so far.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. Tickets, apparel, and more can be purchased online at www.pnwdirtracing.com .
