Campos, West, Martinez, Crum, Drake, And Helsel Capture SSP Spring Challenge Victories

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park would see another incredibly packed pit area for the second and final night of the 2017 Spring Challenge n Sunday, May 28th. The “Banks Bullring” would compliment their extremely wonderful car count with some equally entertaining racing. Classes in action included the Budweiser IMCA Modifeids, Bridgeport Logistics Street Stocks, Dwarf Cars, 1200cc Micro Sprints, 600cc Open Micros, and the 600cc Restricted Micros.
John Campos would capture an electrifying victory in the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds. Chris West managed to best the field in the Bridgeport Logistic Street Stocks to be the second different winner in as many races. In the Dwarf Car ranks Ryan Martinez would sweep the weekend with yet another win on the ¼-mile clay oval.
The state of Washington would yet again occupy the winner’s circle in the Micro Sprint divisions. Chance Crum would conquer the 600cc Open race, Dakota Drake in the 600cc Restricted, and Jake Helsel topped the 1200cc Micros.
Sunset Speedway Park returns to action on Saturday, June 3rd for the Bud Light Iron Man 100 and is the biggest race of the season for the Pure Stocks. Also on the card is the IMCA Sport Mods, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bees, and New Bees.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Children (5 and Under) are FREE.
