Colin Bozell Wins Budd's All Tractor Street Stock Feature 5/20/23

Street Stock Heat #1 Lineup: Ryan Ward, Billy Edwards, Bill Waldon, Dan Bashal, Emil Divietri, Montie Matthews, Alex Vonderau, and Dan Lewis. At the start of heat race #1, Ward and Edwards drag race through turns 1 & 2 Edwards with the better run up high takes the lead in turn 3 on lap 1! Mean while Dan Bashal and Bill Waldon battle it for 3rd and 4th. Waldon gets clear in turn 1 shuffling Bashal back to 4th. Rookie competitor Emil Divietri starts reeling in Dan Bashal for 4th. Divietri and Bashal battle side by side off 2 and down the back straight away to turn 3! In turn 4 Divietri is able to get clear and Alex Vondreau follows Divietri through to make the pass on Dan Bashal for 5th. Vondreau gets clear off 4 for 5th, and hunts down Divietri for 4th! Vondreau then charges passed Divietri on the outside to take over 4th in 1! Vondreau continues to run the high side to chase down Bill Waldon. Vondereau catches Waldon in 4 and passes him down the backstretch! Then the hard charging Vondereau puts pressure on Ryan Ward for 2nd! Makes the pass in 4 on Ward and takes over 2nd! Our leader Billy Edwards has a commanding lead and Alex Vondereau is now setting his sights on the distant leader. Meanwhile, Bill Waldon is starting to pressure Ryan Ward for 3rd. Ward gets all kinds of sideways in 4 and Waldon takes advantage and goes underneath Ward for 3rd, but loses momentum when he drives through the infield allowing Ryan Ward to pull away! Billy Edwards takes home the win! Followed by Alex Vondereau, Ryan Ward, Montie Matthews, Emil Divietri, Dan Lewis, Dan Bashal, and Bill Waldon.

Street Stock Heat #2 Lineup: Jake Hopwood, Kyle Rombaugh, Makenna Long, Lucas Fischer, Dale Lewis Bryan Passick, and Colin Bozell(DNS). Kyle Rombaugh gets a great start for Heat 2 and pulls away from Makenna Long! Lucas Fischer runs the outside to challenge Makenna Long for 2nd. Fischer gets clear of Long in 3 to move to 2nd! Hopwood now challenges Long for 3rd. The battle heats up for 3rd as they drag race down the backstretch to turn 3! Makenna Long and Jake Hopwood continue to battle and Hopwood able to get by up high with Bryan Passick also challenging Makenna Long up high. Passick goes by in turn 2! Back up front Lucas Fischer challenges Kyle Rombaugh in turn 3 for the lead! Side by side the 2 of them battle in 4 for the lead! Rombaugh finds speed on the inside to pull away from Fischer to stretch out the lead! In 3, Lewis goes by Long for 5th. Fischer, Hopwood, and Passick all battle and pressure each other for 2nd! Hopwood all alone on the bottom while Fischer and Passick run the top side. Fischer all kinds of sideways in 2 giving Hopwood the advantage down low! Passick goes underneath Fischer for 3rd! Passick gets 3rd in 4 and Lewis goes by Fischer for 4th and continue to go side by side! Hopwood and Passick continue to battle for 2nd side by side! Passick takes over 2nd in 2! Lewis follows Passick on the bottom side of Hopwood for 3rd. Hopwood doesn't give up and stays in the fight with Lewis for 3rd! Mean while up front Kyle Rombaugh gets loose and that brings Passick to his back bumper slips up high and Passick makes the pass down low in 4 and takes over the lead and brings Dale Lewis with him! Hopwood makes the pass on Rombaugh and takes 3rd, and Lucas Fischer challenges Rombaugh for 4th and Fischer gets loose down low allowing Rombaugh to run away. Bryan Passick wins Heat 2! Followed by Dale Lewis for 2nd, Jake Hopwood 3rd, Kyle Rombaugh 4th, Lucas Fischer 5th, Makenna Long 6th.

Street Stock Feature Lineup: Ryan Ward, Billy Edwards, Bill Waldon, Dan Bashal, Emil Divietri, Montie Matthews, Alex Vonderau, Jake Hopwood, Kyle Rombaugh, Makenna Long, Lucas Fischer, Dale Lewis Bryan Passick, Colin Bozell, and Dan Lewis. Dan Bashal jumps out to the early lead over Bill Waldon Alex Vonderau makes it 3 wide in between Waldon and Matthews but gets out of the throttle to let Montie Matthews move up a lane on the back stretch. Behind Emil Divietri, Bryan Passick, Dan Lewis, and Kyle Rombaugh go 3 wide for 7th! Passick and Rombaugh battle by Lewis into 3. Off 4 Passick challenges rookie competitor Emil Divietri on the inside for 7th. Jake Hopwood puts the pass on Bill Waldon for 4th on the backstretch. Rombaugh then puts a move on Waldon down low for 5th in 3. New leader off 2 is Montie Matthews over Dan Bashal. Alex Vonderau gets around Hopwood on the outside and challenges Bashal for 2nd he gets the position in 1. Behind him, Bashal, Hopwood, and fast qualifier Colin Bozell go 3 wide for 3rd! Bashal loses momentum in 2 down the backstretch and Bozell and Hopwood duke it out for 3rd. Bashal and Rombaugh make contact in 3. Bashal gets loose and gets in to Rombaugh and Passick gets a piece of it as well. Passick had to take his 70 pit side due to a left rear flat tire putting him at the rear for the restart. Matthews and Hopwood bring the field to green for the restart Hopwood is the new leader in 2 after the restart! Rombaugh with an amazing run moves up to 2nd on the outside of Matthews! Colin Bozell our fast qualifier goes to the outside of Matthews for 4th. Rombaugh and Bozell battle for 3rd in 4 Bozell is able to get by out of 2. Lewis gets by Vonderau for 4th. Bozell challenges Hopwood for the lead off 4. Hopwood and Bozell put on a show for the lead running side by side and in turn 3 Bozell finally gets around Hopwood. Rombaugh and Dale Lewis battle for 3rd in 3. Lewis is able to get by Rombaugh for 3rd in 2. Makenna Long and Alex Vonderau battle for 6th. Long gets by Vonderau and gets 6th. Our 2nd caution comes out when Emil Divietri spins in 3 and Ryan Ward goes pit side. Bozell and Hopwood bring the field to green for the restart. Bozell with the jump on the restart to pick up right where he left off. Hopwood fading fast from the restart allowing Dale Lewis and Passick to go by. Passick makes a move down low on Lewis for 2nd! Makenna Long gets by Vonderau for 6th. Rombaugh challenges Hopwood for 3rd Rombaugh answers back on the high side in 2. Alex Vonderau and Lucas Fischer make contact bringing out caution #3. Both Lucas Fischer and Alex Vonderau couldn't continue. Bozell and Passick brought them to the green this time. Bozell had the better restart and Passick showing sparks fades fast due to a left front flat this time he takes it pit side for the 2nd time. Lewis doing all he can to try to get a run on our leader Bozell meanwhile, Rombaugh and Hopwood battle for 3rd. Rombaugh gets by Hopwood and sets sail for Lewis until Hopwood gets into Rombaugh bringing out caution #4. On the restart Bozell picks up right where he left off and Lewis trying to run after Bozell to challenge for the lead. Long makes a quick move in 3 to 4th moving Rombaugh back to 5th. Colin Bozell gets the win, Dale Lewis 2nd, Montie Matthews 3rd, Makenna Long 4th, Kyle Rombaugh 5th, Jake Hopwood 6th, Emil Divietri 7th, Billy Edwards 8th, and Dan Lewis 9th.
