Kyle Amerson Leads It All For First ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprint Triumph

MILTON, Fla. (September 3, 2016) Adding his name to the record book, Alabama’s Kyle Amerson made his way to Victory Lane with the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints, winning the opening night of the Emerald Coast Nationals at Southern Raceway in Milton, Fla. on Saturday night.

The fifteenth overall winner in ASCS/SOS competition, Amerson led non-stop atop a track made rough by rain, with the night’s events nearly falling to the ravages of Mother Nature. Saturday was also Amerson’s first victory in an ASCS style Sprint Car.

Chased to the line by Michael Miller, the night’s podium rounded out with Timmy Thrash with Butch David fourth and Blake Carrier fifth. The top-ten rounded out with Rusty Sanford, Johnny Gilbertson, Joey Schmidt, Tony Agin, and Brandon Blenden.

The Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints continue their Labor Day Weekend on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Southern Racing with night two of the Emerald Coast Nationals. For continued updates on the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints, log onto http://www.ascsracing.com.
