James Giossi

Back In Action

This weekend James Giossi and crew headed to Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin for the first time this season. Red Cedar Speedway recently was allowed to open back up on Friday night and they were able to have 25% capacity of fans in their grandstands. James started the night out with a good draw putting him on the pole for his heat race. The green dropped and James blasted into the lead. Never looking back and with no cautions, James easily won his heat race.

Unfortunately, after Giossi won his heat, he would have to start all the way back in the eighth position. The green flag flew for the feature and there were battles for position all over the field. It was clear early, the top was the place to be. After gaining positions throughout the race, James found himself in fourth with a handful of laps to go. James was then stalking the 28 of Sammy Mars for third. With Sammy on top and the 44 of Nelson on the bottom, Giossi was trapped for the time being. After working on those two in front of him, Giossi would eventually settle for a fourth place finish.

The tentative plans for next week will be to race at Red Cedar Speedway on Friday night and Rice Lake Speedway on Saturday night.
