Little R is Ready for 2021 Season

RANSOMVILLE, NY (March 8, 2021) The “Little R” at the Ransomville Speedway is returning to action in2021. While the 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021 is shaping up to be an exciting year of racing on Thursday nights.

Thursday night racing at the “Little R” begins with the practice session for all classes on May 6th, with the opening day taking place on May 13. Two special Monday races are on the schedule. Monday, June 28 leading into the 4th of July holiday weekend, and Monday, July 26, a full show will take place. There will be no racing on July 1 and July 29 (the day before the World of Outlaw NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series race). Season Championship night will be on Thursday, September 2 and the non-points race and banquet will take place on Sunday, September 12. Ransomville Speedway would like to welcome back returning divisional sponsors for the “Little R”. Just Signs & Designs (Novice), Slack Karts(Junior 1), SJE Shocks (Junior 2), Fitzgibbon Contracting and Construction(Junior 3), Fisher’s Auto Repair (Senior Lites), Finish Line Auto Detail(Senior Heavy). Driver registrations have begun with good car counts in all divisions, with the highest so far with 11 in the Just Signs & Designs Novice.

Marketing partnerships are available with the Thursday night racing program at the “Little R”. Race fans are the most brand-loyal in sports. There are many entertainment options and sporting events for fans tospend their money on. Race fans and their loyalty are why sponsors are involved because racing provides a unique platform to engage them. Go-kart memberships are $50 and for the drivers only. On race night, the cost is $20 to get in the pits for members and $25 for non-members. Additionally, members are eligible for track awards and/or point fund money at the end of the season. Pit parking reservations are also available for $50. Proceeds of the pit parking reservations go directly to the go-kart driver's point fund. Anyone who has not received their membership packet and paperwork and those who would like to register for the 2021 season at the “LittleR”, contact Ransomville Speedway General Manager Jenn Martin at (716) 791-3602 or email raceransomville@gmail.com. If paperwork is returned to the speedway by May 1, you will receive one free ticket towards a Burris Tire giveaway. Additional tickets may be purchased for $5 each. The free tickets will only be given away prior to and on May 1st.

Rules and guidelines for the 2021 season are available by clicking on the Karts section of www.ransomvillespeedway.com. Unless permission is granted by the speedway, all karters must race in the designated division. “We are more than happy to work with those with less experience in regard to division placement”, comments General Manager Jenn Martin. “We didn't race in 2020 and we will review each case brought to us as a committee,” Martin said.

The “Little R” is once again partnering with Burris Tires. Burris Tires are the “Official Tire of the Little R”. Burris will be providing$1,000 worth of items to be given away at the end of the season awards banquet. Point fund monies and prizes are distributed to current season members and must race 50% of the season.
