Ransomville Speedway Profile: Chris Hawkins

Chris Hawkins from Stevensville Ontario is a persistent driver who is ready for the drop of the green flag for the 2020 racing season at Ransomville Speedway. His racing career started from the influence of his father, who raced bombers before he was born. Then at 15 years old, Hawkins bought his first race car, a street stock. In 2019, he went behind the wheel of a sportsman and raced in the Novice Sportsman Division. After ten top 10 finishes, he placed 5th in the points standings. For the 2020 racing season, Hawkins hopes to “get as much seat time as possible” and continue to learn about his car to have better results with setups and of course, finishes. Hawkins likes the Novice Sportsman Division and says, “It's a great place to start and get comfortable in a car; whether just beginning or starting over after a long time away from being behind the wheel.” Hawkins wouldn’t be able to do it without his sponsors and would like to thank Sterling Lubricants, Finish Line Niagara Inc., San Vito's Restaurant, Outlaw Chassis, Hawk Fabrication, and Performance Video for their generous support in the 2020 racing season. He would also like to thank the Borkenhaggens, John Smith Racing, Alex Morris, the Custodi Crew, Dave Flannigan, New Generation, Bleich Racing, Jim Mullen, Jetport, Buds Apple Pie, his kids, and everyone else in the pits who have helped him on his racing journey thus far.
