Ransomville Driver Profile: Erick Rudolph

As we prepare for the 2020 racing season, Ransomville Speedway will begin highlighting a featured driver!

This driver spotlight is on Erick Rudolph.

Rudolph, as fans call him Rudy, had a remarkable 2019 season with multiple track championships and more wins than you could imagine! Erick was the 2019 Ransomville Speedway Modified Track Champion and his goal for the 2020 season is to defend his title as track champion! He plans to wheel the #25 around his home track Ransomville Speedway while also attending the Super DIRTcar Series and other 358 modified series. For anyone beginning racing or moving up to the modified class, Erick says to “work hard and never give up” as racing is a very challenging sport. This Ransomville native believes that “everything worth doing is worth doing right” and shows he sticks by it every week as he turns laps like he is the only car on the track. Although he has grown up on the Ransomville dirt, his most memorable moment as a driver has been winning the sportsman race at Syracuse’s Super DIRT Week in 2008 and believes his biggest win of his career was winning last season at Eldora Speedway. Erick wants to thank Blue Cross and Blue Shield of WNY, Revive Spine Center, Mohawk Northeast, National Maintenance Contracting Corporation, Stirling Lubricants, and Brigham Concrete for their 2020 season sponsorship and support. He would also like to thank his fans for their support along his journey and he can’t wait to get back to the Big R for another season!

Q&A with Erick Rudolph:

Who do you look up to for inspiration?

“I look up to people that are in racing but don't race anymore, like my grandpa.“

What is the first thing you look forward to after your feature is over?

“Honestly, I can’t wait to take off my suit and get into my street clothes, especially when it’s hot.”

Do you drive on the street like you are in the race car?

“Honestly no, I drive really conservatively. Arrive alive.”

Fans can watch Erick’s progress throughout the 2020 race season on www.erickrudolph.com or on his Facebook page Erick Rudolph Racing. #rudynation
