RANSOMVILLE MALL CAR SHOW CANCELED DUE TO COVID-19 CONCERNS

RANSOMVILLE, N.Y. (March 17, 2020) - In accordance with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and state and local officials in regards to controlling the spread of COVID-19, Ransomville Speedway and the Fashion Outlets of Niagara have decided to cancel the Ransomville Speedway Mall Car Show scheduled for March 27-29.

The management of Ransomville Speedway feels that it is in the best interest of our community to respect the urging of government officials and health experts for everyone to stay home during this difficult time.

“While we were looking forward to seeing everyone at our annual car show at the Fashion Outlets, it is better for everyone to stay home with their loved ones,” said Jenn Martin, general manager. “We want all of our teams, officials and fans to remain healthy so everyone can be ready to go when our 2020 season starts this spring.”

“A big thank you goes out to all the race teams that were preparing their cars in time to participate in the show,” added Martin, “we really appreciate their willingness to help promote racing at Ransomville.”

The Miss Ransomville pageant that was scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 28 has been postponed. It will take place on a yet to be determined date. Jenn Martin will be in contact with all the contestants and judges to update them on the status of the contest as it develops.

Any fans that were hoping to pick up a 2020 Ransomville Speedway schedule card during the car show, can request to have one mailed to them. Race fans can e-mail Ransomville Speedway at raceransomville@gmail.com or private message the speedway Facebook page with their mailing address to have one sent to them.

An extension has been given to any Go-Kart competitors that were planning on registering for the 2020 season during the show. Racers can still mail their registration forms to the speedway office.

Any further updates will be posted on the Ransomville Speedway website and official social media website.
