KEIRSTAN FARINA CROWNED MISS RANSOMVILLE FOR 2019 SEASON

RANSOMVILLE, N.Y. (April 7, 2019) - Keirstan Farina of Lockport, N.Y. was crowned Miss Ransomville Speedway 2019 on Saturday night during the annual Speedway Mall Car Show at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara in Niagara Falls.

Farina was selected by the panel of judges following two rounds of questions for the field of four contestants. Farina will continue her lifelong involvement in racing in her new role as Miss Ransomville after spending eight years as go-kart competitor on Thursday nights at the “Little R”.

“I will remember this night for the rest of my life,” said Keirstan following her crowning, “winning is overwhelmingly amazing and I already feel so much love from the Ransomville Speedway family.”

Farina grew up in a racing family as her father Ricky raced Street Stocks until he sold his equipment to allow Keirstan to begin her go-kart career. She progressed through the ranks at the “Little R”, starting out in the Novice class and making her way up to Senior Heavy. “Many Friday nights, and eventually Thursday nights, were spent watching highly competitive racing and being caught up in the moment with the energy from the fans in the stands,” said Farina, “that high energy is something you can easily become addicted
to, and now I can’t wait for the dirt to start flying on Friday nights this season in my role as Miss Ransomville.” She currently attends Niagara University where she is studying nursing, and she also works as a manager for Five Guys.

Miss Ransomville 2018 Mariah Reilly fulfilled her final duties during the contest as she participated as a judge and took part in the coronation of her successor. Everyone at Ransomville Speedway would like to thank Mariah for her dedication and enthusiasm during the past year as Miss Ransomville. She did a phenomenal job in the role, and we hope to continue to see her at the track in the future.

Joining Reilly on the judging panel were track official Dan Hosie, race director Eileen Czarnecki, Paul Wendt of Wendt’s Propane, Miss Ransomville 2015 Chelsey Jamieson, Justin Clark of Ed’s Garage, Kimberly Derda of the Midnight Run Winery and Debbie MacIver.

The 2019 Ransomville Speedway season kicks off on Friday, April 26 with Test, Tune & Time Night presented by VP Racing Fuels. The green flag waves for real the following Friday with the season opening races of the 62nd season of action at the “Big R” presented
by VP Small Engine Fuels.
