Destruction Overload Schedule and Pay/Procedure Update
In an effort to consolidate resources and create the best show possible Owosso Speedway officials have made the difficult decision to cancel the Destruction Overload event scheduled for Sunday, September 8th.
In addition, to create the best opportunity for drivers and fans to attend we have moved our final Destruction Overload event from Sunday, September 29th to Saturday, September 28th. If you have already purchased tickets for the 29th, your tickets will be good for the 28th. If the schedule change does not allow you to attend please email info@owossospeedway.com to have a refund issued.
Drivers:
Please touch base with the payout and rules page as we have been forced to update our procedures in regards to how "Start" money is paid. Due to some abuse of the three-lap policy we have now updated the rule to read:
"No start and park competitors, you must make a reasonable effort to race. Drivers who fail to complete the full distance of the event and are determined to have not made a reasonable effort to compete will receive ½ start pay. Officials have final say as to what constitutes a reasonable effort. "
We have also adjusted start pay for the oval events from $100 to $125 to further incentivize running the full event.
