Walker Crowned Young Lions Road Course World and State Champion

Concord, NC - The Speedway Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway held the 2015 US Legend Cars awards banquet on Saturday January 30th. Jack Walker, of Bow NH, was crowned the Young Lions Road Course World Champion and the Young Lions Road Course State Champion for NH in his Rookie Season.
“The whole 2015 season was highly unexpected for me. We started the year off just running the oval circuit, missed the first 4 races on the road course and then finally decided to give it a try. The road course was a little intimidating at first, we’d heard of a lot of rookies blowing motors and throwing drive shafts and we were concerned we might tear up a bunch of equipment. But once we got out there we actually ran pretty good, didn’t tear up any equipment and consistently lowered our lap times. It was really an exciting year and to come away with the two championships on top of it was just amazing. I owe it all to my Dad who's also my crew chief and to Shaun Buffington and TSMotorsports for their awesome setups and all of the help they gave me this year.”
Jack’s racing career began at Londonderry Raceway (NH) in quarter midgets at the age of 6. In the time since he has raced Tiger Sprints, Jr Sportsman Champs, Jr Champs, 4 Cylinder Cars, and flat karts indoors. The 2015 season saw Jack run the US Legend Cars fulltime at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on both the Oval track and the Road Course. Jack also raced at Wiscasset Speedway in ME and at Claremont Speedway in NH.
Jack’s plans for the 2016 season include the full oval and road course seasons at NHMS as well as the full road course season at Thompson Motor Speedway. Jack also plans to try out as many other oval courses as his schedule will allow, including Star Speedway (NH), Speedway 95 (NH), Seekonk (MA), Bethel (NY) and Waterford New London Speedbowl (CT) as well as the Road Course World Finals at Sonoma Raceway (CA).
