Schuett Racing prepares for busy upcoming schedule

Dupo, IL (April 26, 2016) With just a handful of races down and a lot of great racing left to go, Schuett Racing, Inc. is preparing for some busy upcoming weekends. Two weeks ago, the team kicked off the outdoor season with a great third place finish at Montpelier Speedway in Indiana. This past weekend, the team struggled and got caught up in an unavoidable crash ending their weekend early Saturday night. Looking to put last weekend behind them, the team is now preparing for two great tracks - Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Illinois; and I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri. When it comes to quality midget racing, few tracks can mirror what will be seen this coming weekend.

Last weekend, Kyle and his Schuett Racing team ventured to Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois Friday night. In a heat race full of former POWRi A-main winners, Kyle started fourth and was able to move forward to a third place finish. Based on passing points, this put Kyle lining up 12th in the 30-lap A-main. On a narrow race track, Kyle struggled to keep his DRC Chassis hooked to the bottom groove and while he made some good laps on the high side, unfortunately there just wasn’t much race track up there. By the end of the night, Kyle slid back to a 17th place finish.

Saturday night saw the POWRi midgets made their return to the Mighty Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois. Nearly 40 cars made the trip to one of the best bullrings in midget racing. In heat race action, Kyle started seventh in the final heat race of the night. Having a fast car, just not many laps, Kyle moved forward to a fourth place finish, gaining valuable passing points in the process. Based on points, Kyle lined up 13th in the 30-lap A-main event. When the green flag waived, Kyle began making moves and it looked as if he would have a good car and be able to move forward. Unfortunately just a few laps into the race, a spinning car in turns three and four would start collecting traffic and Kyle was one of the victims. As he got stopped, he also got hit by another car. Kyle attempted to restart, but pulled off just a few laps later after getting caught a lap down due to rear suspension issues. Kyle was credited with a 20th place finish.

While not the weekend Schuett Racing hoped for, they are continuing to learn the new DRC Chassis and are excited about the potential they think it has. With great support from builder, Joe Devin, Kyle and his crew are continuing to get the handle on things and will be running back up front in no time. This weekend, Schuett Racing will head to Belleville and Pevely looking to park the Health Alliance ?#?9K? on the front stretch. Be sure to follow Schuett Racing, Inc. on Facebook for updates all weekend and season long.
